You will be working for an award-winning, fast growing and leading manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of IT & Electrical cabling, server racks and peripherals. The company specialises in selling cables, server racks, data, fibre and other electrical cabling products to customers all over the world.
Based in South West Melbourne, you will be responsible for engaging with a diverse range of B2B clients to develop, negotiate and execute strategic sales plans developing and maintaining effective business client relationships with key decision-makers. This will be achieved by managing the existing base of customers and identifying local opportunities and developing initiatives to further build sales and profitability to deliver sustainable growth across a VIC State territory.
The role:
New business development by prospecting and identifying potential new clients as well as re-establishing relationships with previous clients
B2B client relationship management
Management of a 360 degree sales cycle from lead generation to closing
Stakeholder engagement and management
Pipeline forecasting and management reporting
Liaise with internal teams and leverage collective genius to maintain an in-depth knowledge of products & services
Implement systems and processes to track, analyse and report on customer behaviour to help improve the efficiency of sales strategies
Identify and implement opportunities to improve the business development and sales process
Conduct all activities in line with the Quality Management System (QMS)
To be successful in this role you must have the following essential criteria:
At least 3 years experience selling cables or other IT/electrical peripherals
A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Highly developed presentation and negotiation skills with conflict & resolution skills
First class communication skills both written and verbal to be able to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands
Strong planning and organisational skills
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise workload
Sound commercial acumen
Intermediate skills with MS Office products
An effective team player
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision
